Looks great! I'd have to agree with dragon99 - stainless is a thing of beauty in home breweries - of course you pay for it as well Nice build - happy brewing!

...what you CAN see here is my Shepard/Rott mix (?) ready to shed and slober into all my beer...

I love our Shepard/Husky mix, but damned if I didn't just find a hair in a bottle of Flying Toad Honey Brown Braggot Ale...

Default Gas Distribution and burner height

your spot on with the shephard/rott mix. If he had his way he would stick his head right in the fermenter and take a drink.

Here is a shot of the gas distribution from the rear. Gas comes in on the left side through the manual valve. Each burner has a Pilot safety valve, solenoid valve, and needle valve before the burner. I installed a gage at the end of the line to monitor the gas pressure since I have a 0-25psi adjustable regulator at the bottle.

I am having an issue getting down the exact spacing between the burners and the bottom of the kettles. In this picture the burners were about 2-1/2" from the bottom of the kettles. It seemed like they were too close because the flame was not burning very clean. I have since lowered the height of these burners by 3" each. Setting the air mix ratio and burner height is still a work in progress. Any input here is appreciated.

Is there a certain disk you have to use for grinding stainless? Looks awesome. My next rig will be stainless.

Whiskey

I am almost done with my brutus build using the same burners so I will let you know what I find. Mine are currently set at 3-4 inches below kettle. When I used these on my gravity fed stand I found that the pressure set on the reg, ball valve and air shutter had more to do with a clean flame then the actual height. More gas pressure=more air etc. Good luck

Dog House, I am using a variety of grinding wheels but none of them are specifically made for stainless. But once used on stainless any grinding wheel should only be used on stainless and never contaminated with carbon steel.

JF, what pressure have you found works well for you? I ran my last boil at about 5psi and kept a nice rolling boil on 12 gallons.

WF

I know those burners usually come with a 10 psi adjustable reg. I try and keep the system pressure around 15 psi if I am running two burners at once. I don't think you have to crank up the psi any higher because you really can't go full throttle with these or they sound like they will take off! I have never really had to run all three at once but if so I would go to around 20 psi. Even though they can handle the 10 psi we rarely go full throttle. FYI- I do only 7.5gallon boils. Are those heat sheilds on the floor?

Default Burner Shrouds

The burner shrouds seem to work well to keep the heat away from the other components as well as keeping the wind from blowing out my pilot/flame.

I haven't cranked the burners much above 5 psi for a prolonged time because I wasn't sure if this would either scorch the wort or just waste propane and not fully utilize the Btu's I am using. With all three going at 5 psi it sounds like I have a rocket taking off in my backyard.
