Really beautiful! It's awesome to see another Kabouter rig design, I'm working on my own, but it won't be quite this sexy that's for sure.

Looks like all sanitary fittings? Is it all fully welded?

Congratulations and cheers! Can't wait to see more pics

Great looking rig. I presume because of the brewery name, that's a rolling chassis behind it in the picture. which one is it? - Dwain

Nope, dog's not impressed. The dog is wondering what's taking the beer so long to be ready.

I however, am impressed. And jealous. I wish I had something that shiny...

Default All Welded with sanitary fittings

I went to extremes to design this with all sanitary fittings and weld everything possible for maximum ability to clean in place. The only fittings that wort will touch that aren't tri-clamp are the connections to the pump inlet and outlet. I could not get these march pumps with anything but threads on the stainless heads. Also the connections in and out of the stainless coils which are inside the HLT and Boil Kettle are stainless swagelok style fittings.

This is a pic of the inside of the HLT while it is preheating.

Default Rolling Chassis

Dwain, The chassis you see is part of my 82 Jeep CJ-5. Currently a work in progress waiting for a ton of body work. Its original powerhouse was an "iron duke" engine.

Here is a pic of the inside of the MLT. I made this sparge ring from some stainless tubing. It seems to work well.

My only threaded connections were here on the pumps.

Also I used baso high pressure pilot safety valves for my gas train that you can see in the top left corner. I figured since I was using high pressure propane I should go through the effort of making sure there was a safety valve in place in case the wind kicked up and blew out my flame while I had walked away.

Very nice setup. To me, nothing says BREWERY like stainless steel. Its a thing of beauty.
