the author of this uses 26x26. i wonder if anyone had tried finer mesh?

i use pellet hops and have a 15 gal more beer kettle (19" diameter). apologies for a total noob question, but could i completely skip a hop bag with one of these?

very well could be given how fragile it is

i was planning to rinse it off then backflush through the valve, but you may be right

You can skip the hop bag with one of those. I made one from 28x28 mesh with .010 wire and it's no problem to clean. Spraying it with a hose gets all of the hop material out.
