Here is the mash paddle I made. $6 worth of wood and a little time. Sure beats ordering one for $65! Just thought I'd share.

Nice. I'll have to look into butcher block oil. Flavorless? I know tung oil is preservative but nasty.

Pic of one my buddy cut out for me today should be attached. My design, his saw. We had to buy a $20 board.

I made this one today. I bought a piece of cherry for $9. Enough to make two. I think I'll make the shaft a bit wider on the next one.

Mine isn't wood either. And it wasn't made at my home, but my friends house. The same one that made my 20+ gallon stainless pot.
