Default Help me bypass keezer's tstat please!

I have a Johnson a419 controlling my old keezer. Lately the freezer control board has fried and I have to push a button on the keezer to get it to cycle on. I want the compressor to be on if the power is connected.

Attached is a pic of the wiring diagram.

I was just going to connect the L1 and P3 wires together.

I really don't think you want that. Do you have free electricity?

I am not an appliance tech but I would say you need to disconnect p2 and p3 from the control unit and tie them together. Then you can plug it into your external controller and use that to maintain the temp.

But regardless, both of these are essentially the same thing and are correct.

Cut everything to the control panel and wire black and white to the compressor. There, I've said it a third way!

I thought everyone knew what a Johnson a419 was.

Thanks for all the help guys. I woke up and my precious 20 gallons of homebrew was at 54f.

Edit. It worked.
