Got some copper for a Manifold..

So I got some copper from an old project laying around. It was never used on anything, it's starting to weather a bit, and would like to use it on a build for a manifold. Should I clean the outside with steel wool or anything? And soak the hell out of the inside?

Put in a solution of vinegar and water to clean the copper

I think the best way for you to handle it is to first read this:
http://www.howtobrew.com/appendices/appendixB.html

It is part of a book writen by John Palmer and will describe your best choices.

Hope this helps.

Irony is I have this book. I just haven't read all of the appendices. Thanks for the tips. Will have to soak the copper next time I have a day off.

I tried the vinegar, but star San works much better. Just leave it in for 10-15 min and it's nice and shiny

I got everything dry fit. The smaller pieces will be easier to soak. Thoughts opinions? I kept the manifold x/2 away from the sides. Runs are about 3 inches away from one another.

Looks good to me. You're going to have fun cutting all the slots in there.

It's not hard making the slots. I used my band saw, took 5 minutes for my manifold.

You mean you don't own a 5 axis cnc? Man you're working too hard.
