Gas manifold sanity check... Flare and Stainless tubing
So I have a Harbor Freight Flaring tool mainly for copper and the like. Today I realized I have a few feet of stainless tubing I could use (3/8). Aside from ensuring I get a proper flare is there anything I need to worry about such as the flare nut?
My manifold is made up from 1/2 iron pipe and some brasscraft 1/2 x 3/8 flare valves. I'm simply making the jumper from the manifold gas valve to the propane orifice all about 3-6 inches.
Is a brass flare nut adequate even with stainless tubing?
