I'd pay attention to the pressure ratings, particularly if your rig is high pressure.

Do not use teflon tape or other thread compounds on metal to metal flare seals (between the flarenut and the adapters). Its fine on the NPT side of the adapter.
Be sure to leak test everything.

Nope, flares are a compression type fitting. They require no dope or tape.
