Hey guys, I am in the final stages of building my single tier brew stand. Well I should say I am finishing building keggles, accessories, and mounting things on my brew stand purchased from Marcus. I have a few questions, which I am sure will help others with their builds as well.

1. What type of boxes are you guys using for the control panels? I am looking for an 8"x8"x3 1/2" or 4". I am mounting my ranco controller, two switches for the pumps, and a timer. I have found both a heavy duty plastic and a metal one, which is thin like a lunch box.

2. Where did you drill your hole for the dip tube on the false bottom. I purchased a 15" false bottom from Jaybird and need to build my dip tube. I will be re circulating through my immersion chiller in my HLT to keep the temp.

3. I am thinking of putting some pump shields on to protect from the heat of the BG 14 burners. I was thinking of using some sheet metal, and possibly putting some heat shield material on them?

Any thoughts and recommendations would be great. Thanks.

Cheers,

Steve

Hi Steve, it might be sensory overload, but I have a sortable, filterable system registry with LOTS of system details and links to build threads and the like: http://brewbot.org/breweries. Maybe you can get some inspiration there, or maybe find systems like yours that lead to answers.

I hope that once your system is done, you'll post it to the registry. The form is here: http://brewbot.org/brewery-submission

Cheers!
