Default feeler gauges? where to get them?

so i've been to about four hardware stores and either they know what i'm talking about (the local small mom and pop stores) or the home depot/lowes employees look like i'm speaking french to them.

where do i find these things? or what do i call them to get people to understand?

thanks!

Try your local auto parts store. They should be able to assist.

I actually wish there was an ace hardware in new york city...every time i go home they're so much more helpful than the big box ones.
