Default False Bottom MLT

Ok, I have my snazzy new FB from Jay ( Niiiice !) and was trying to figure out how to install it in my 10gal Igloo.

Yeah, I get the "Remove the top" part

Any pics on how to connect up the FB to the valve?
What about some kind of stand offs ?

Use a 1/2 inch brass "L" fitting with a barb on one end and a bulkhead w/double nuts through the FB. Connect to the Ball valve through the side of the Igloo with high temp hose available at your HB shop or Beer Making and Home Brewing Supplies | MoreBeer
Use 2 stainless hose clamps to secure the hose.

So there's no dome on this right? You may want to think about a bunch of standoffs which can be stainless machine screws with double nuts. The head sits on the bottom of the cooler and the double nuts hold the FB at whatever height you like. Whatever fitting you use to attach your tubing, make sure the open end doesn't sit flush to the cooler bottom or it won't flow.

Sightglass, Refractometer, Ball Valve, Weldless bulkhead, Thermometer, Decals, Stainless Steel Fittings, Compression Fittings, Camlock Quick Disconnects, Scale, RIMS tube, Plate Chiller, Chugger Pump, Super Clear Silicone Tubing, and more!

New Stuff?
