Default DIY Autosiphon Screen

Well, it worked... wonderfuly.

All I did was take a "reusable" grain bag (i used coarse):

and ziptied it onto the autosiphon, leaving about 3 inches at the bottom...

so when i siphoned from my brew pot, i left behind a lot of that hop crap at the bottom...

Neat idea. I will have to try it until I get around to making something more permanent. Did you come up with any tricks to make sure everything was sanitized? Did you sanitize before you assembled it or after. You can boil the bag but not the auto siphon, correct? Or did you use a chemical sanitizer?

yeah you are right, but i did assembled it first, the air dry the whole thing (not sure if it sanitary, but I used the air from a hair dryer). I used Iodephor, and you could tell where it was sanitized because of the stain.. ha.
