Detailed step-by-step stirplate speed control

For those of you considering building a stirplate with the advanced speed control circuit, as described in this thread:

I found a site that has a terrific step-by-step of how to create that speed control circuit:

LM317 Voltage Regulator

I just built one of these last night, (before I found the link) and coincidentally, this is almost exactly how I did it, down to the way the components are arranged on the board!

Now I can get started on this as well. I had purchased most of the parts several months ago but was at a loss as to haw to start building the circuit. It's been a looong time since I have done any of this stuff and I no longer have any of my old electronics manuals anymore. Thanks for the heads up on this great resource!
