I just got a bg14 in the mail along with a 10' hose and 30 psi regulator from amazon. I know I need to make sure the orifice is not too tight to allow movement of the shutter. However, the only way for the shutter to still be able to move is to leave the orifice barely finger tight. This becomes a big issue when I attach the hose to the burner and I am able to twist the hose either right of left when screwed into the orifice. On my other burner I am able to wrench down on the orifice and the shutter will still move. Will this still be safe? Should I just find the right mixture on the burner and just crank down on the orifice? I was thinking about drilling out the hole in the shutter where the orifice goes, I don't know if that would mess something else up though. Thanks!
