Anyone have plans of a blueprint for a wooden brew stand?
More interested in a gravity set up.

Blueprints aren't that helpful as each setup will be tweaked for local materials and availability. Just start cruising for examples, find features you like, make a trip to Home Depot or wherever, and start banging the thing together.
2x4's. Some carriage boats and nuts and washers. And all the doohickeys you can think of. Lay them all out on the ground and your design will become pretty obvious. |
There's a thread on the forums somewhere with hundreds of posts and photos of different wooden stands. That could at last give you general ideas. Can't find it right now, but will and post back.

for $80 worth of lumber you can build something like this...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...h_IMG_1091.jpg each side looks like this, and then you just cut a few 2x4s to go between the two halves... (they go where the notches are cut out) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...h_IMG_1067.jpg i think it took six 4x4s @$8 each, and five 2x4's at $5 ea... plus carrige bolts and nuts and washers. best part is you can remove the middle braces and it breaks down into two flat halves. the kettles that are direct fired sit on steel angle pieces, and the mash tun sits on wood planks in the center step http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...h_c663490a.jpg |
