Default Anyone built a brew sculpture with 80/20?

I have access for 40+ feet of this stuff at no cost. Has anyone tried using it?

That would be a kick-ass looking brew stand. Freakin Erector Sets.

Not 80/20, but dfess1 built a stand out of aluminum channel that could give you some ideas on how things can go together...

Cheers!

Look at a great extrusion set-up built by Irrenarzt post #9

I used 36 ft of the 1.5" x 1.5" 80/20 to build my two tier, two pot stand.
The picture is the lighter weight stuff. I used the regular stuff. Very sturdy.
Nice to work with. A good alternative to welding steel.

Any pics? I'm not sure what kind I have. I posted a generic pic I found via google.

Here is a link to the stuff I bought (80/20 ebay store).
http://www.ebay.com/itm/80-20-Inc-1-5-x-1-5-T-Slot-Aluminum-Extrusion-15-Series-1515-x-96-5-/370625290308?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item564afd 2044#ht_1283wt_1144

This is the type of fastener I used.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/80-20-Inc-T-Slot-15-Series-End-Fastener-5-16-18-x-1-BHSCS-3380-12-Pack-/221034360469?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3376ac ae95#ht_1249wt_1144

I only used these fasteners to join the T-Slot bars together.

Get the 80/20 catalog. Sign up on the 80/20 web site. They will probably send you two. Free.

No pictures yet.
