Default Widmer Brothers Marionberry Hibiscus Gose

I was excited to give this ale a try after reading an article about Gose in Brew your own magazine. Sad to report that not much is going on in this ale.

Didn't love the beer. I did however, love the color. Such a nice red color too it, unique.

What do you mean by not a lot going on?

I haven't had many Widmer beers I liked. They usually seem weak on flavor and body, even for a larger craft brewery that seems to target the intro craft market.

Fyi AB only has a 25% stake in Widmer which is far from "owning"

But you can see that it isn't really a major issue. Goose Island still puts out a lot of great beers that are far from generic, industrial lager. Sure, they've started putting out those 312 beers, but it doesn't seem to have any effect on the original Goose Island line.

The article I read said that AB bought a 39% stake in Widmer after Widmer bought Red Hook and Kona.
