Default Westmalle Dubbel

Finally cracked this open...

aroma: mellow; hints of bananas, malt and liquerice.

taste: fruity, bananany, liquricey, slightly coying sweetness.

overall impression: Good beer, more drinkable then Chimay blue, but not a favorite.

rate: 6 out of 10

No this is my first 'westmalle'...i like it better then chimay blue or red. Not White though, thats my favorite of the belgians ive tried.

it tastes fresher, and has a smoother carbonation, and less coying sweetness then the chimay blue/ red.

Its better then the 'Orval' i had the other night too.
