So, i finally got to try this. They had an ounce for $21 at the Monk's Kettle in San Francisco. I just couldn't pass it up and it was actually quite good. it had the smell of a sherry and tasted like a fine barley wine.
27% alcohol...sheesh! it was hot, but the alcohol didn't overpower the flavor. i would recommend trying this once if anyone has the opportunity. it's expensive, but quite a nice experience!
