Default A new standard?

Hey, Sam Adams is great, but anyone have a chance to try Firestone Double Barrel or Pale 31?

I've had the Double Barrel Ale, but not the others. I liked it. I can't say off the top of y head how it compared to SA, though.

My thinking is that it strikes me as a beer a homebrewer would make (a damn good one, obviously). Just my $0.02
Personally, my ATF idol that is my house brew is a Red Tail Ale clone. To me, the "anytime" brew.
But I'd feel darn proud to come up with something similar to DBA.
