Default Goose Island Stout

Has anyone here had the Goose Island Bourbon County Stout? I saw it at the local beer spot that seems to have everything and it looked interesting and dropped the $15 or so for the 4 pack. I just wanted to get a review, and figure one of the Chicago folks has tried it. I think it is a 2007 and based on the alc%, I assume it needs to sit a year or so. True or can I crack one now? I would hate to waste one since there are only 4 and they are quite pricy.

I've had it and it is fantastic. And expensive - some stores have it behind the customer serivce counter to cut down on "five finger discounts".

This was posted on a local board I belong to. Maybe it'll help. It's all I've ever been able to find on the subject of a recipe.

That link has some good info on the style in general. Thanks much.

Rhoo, how old was the bottle you drank?

Probably not too old, but I really have no idea. I spotted it when it first hit the shelves quite some time ago. I picked up a 4-pack and split it with a buddy. I've been meaning to pick up some more.
