Default Deschutes Red Chair

Finally got my hands on some Red Chair- had to find out what all the hype was about... "Best Beer in the World"???

Have mercy...

Not sure it is the best in the world but it does live up to the hype... very, very good!

There's no such thing as the best beer in the world.

Unless you're talking about The Abyss

I'm a big Red Chair fan, as well. Which is good, because it was Cinder Cone (the old recipe, not the new one that lasted one batch before being axed) that really got me into beer. And the Red Chair kind of runs up near the cone. Sort of.

It's good. Very similar to last year - maybe a bit less tart. Def. get the cascade on the nose. Not very bitter - can't see this being over 35ibu.

I tried this a few years ago when it came out - thought it was terrible. I may have got a bad 6-pack, because I tried it again within the last few months and it's fantastic.
