Default Commercial Brewing School

Havent posted in quite a while. I've had a new job that keeps me traveling around the world (in the middle east at the moment).

I'm interested in checking out a commercial brewing school. Has anyone attended or researched brew schools in the past? If one were to apply to a microbrewery or a brewpub, what sort of qualifications are looked for besides a brewing degree?

I'm starting at ground zero and may or may not pursue it, but I'm willing to do some research now =) Any info anyone can provide is appreciated. My ultimate 10 year plan is starting a brewery (like most of our 10 year plans )

Hope all is well.

American Brewers Guild has an internet course with a 5 week apprenticeship at the end.

The Siebel Institute is in Chicago and is world class.

UC Davis.

Ditto above, I hear the class at UC Davis is awesome, I have a professor who just took it and encourages anyone who brews to make the time to head out there.

I know several pros who have attended Siebel courses. It can be a great excuse to visit Europe http://www.siebelinstitute.com/munich/
