http://www.stltoday.com/blogzone/lager-heads/anheuser-busch/2009/09/why-rye-anheuser-busch-gets-set-to-unveil-an-india-pale-ale/

How do you think they'll screw this one up?

It will probably be like most of their other beers that are a watered down version of what they claim. See shocktop and Budweiser American Ale.

Probably make it 4.1% and triple hop it.

I'll give the Michelob line a little bit of credit. Their beers are slightly less watered down than the Bud/BL lines. I'll probably give it a try when it comes out.

I'll try it, but I'm not expecting too much.

I've actually enjoyed many of the Mich alternatives! I haven't found most of them miss the mark by much if at all.

The Michelob "craft" beers have always left me disappointed. They are very lowest common denomonator tasting, devoid of any strong flavors that typify any particular style.
