I never claimed them as my own. (edit: I did miss the dissident one and I'm sorry about that) I said in the original post that they where not mine. I use them for tap handle labels. I'm going to take those two off the site until I can find who did then and note it on the site. Is that still "Shady"?

Again I had no intention of claming I made those two labels. As per my first post I pointed it out. Now if I had said nothing I could understand the uproar.

Question - I don't draw any of the art work and I'm sure 99% of us out here dont, where are all the "I didn't draw this disclaimers" Is that not sort of the same thing?

Edit: Site is updated with a disclaimer that I did not personally draw any of the pictures. The two I didn't put together have been removed for now until I can find the owners to give proper credit. And I can unequivocally say that the ones left are of my design.

I did not intend to be "Shady", Sorry.

Not looking like anytime soon.
Why not have a vinyl sign guy do it for you? I'm betting it would be a ton cheaper and look just as good plus they could just read it off a disk or CD and print it out

This is the correct answer.

I understand you didn't claim them all on here as yours, but the webiste itself said "My Labels". I wasn't trying to be a jerk. I just wouldn't like seeing a label I spent alot of time on being claimed by someone else. Now I also do not do all the drawing of graphics for my labels, but find images and redo them to fit my label. I think it's different using a picture as part of a label you design, and just copying a label someone else created and putting it on your page of labels with no note about the belonging. Now I wouldn't put "created by whatshisname" on the tap handle in your house or anything. But something open to the public forum I would note it.

It didn't say "My Labels". I can see how that could be inferred, but it did not say that.

I know you where not trying to be a jerk, it was an error in judgment on my part that I have rectified. Thanks. I guess I just felt the need to point out that I was not trying to be purposefully "Shady".

Anyway I consider it finished at this point, Thanks again for the ethics check.

Too many brews going in my brewshop to try and name them all. I gave up on labels (and cleaning them off bottles) by my 4th batch...nearly 100 batches ago.

usually it's just an iteration of:
Stout I,
Stout II brewed 11-24-07
Stout II brewed 07-15-08

And when I get the recipe right and ready to serve in public or publish the recipe...then I name it.

So this weekend I'll be brewing my "Beyond a Shadow of a Stout" in time for holiday parties.

Batch Size: 11.00 gal
Boil Size: 13.69 gal
Estimated OG: 1.045 SG
Estimated Color: 29.3 SRM
Estimated IBU: 25.4 IBU
Brewhouse Efficiency: 76.0 %
Boil Time: 60 Minutes

Amount
12.00 lb Pale Malt, Maris Otter (3.0 SRM)
3.50 lb Barley, Flaked (1.7 SRM)
1.00 lb Chocolate Malt (250.0 SRM)
1.00 lb Roasted Barley (300.0 SRM)
0.50 lb Black (Patent) Malt (500.0 SRM)
0.50 lb Cara-Pils/Dextrine (2.0 SRM)
2.00 oz Goldings, East Kent [5.50%] (60 min) IBU
1.00 oz Goldings, East Kent [5.50%] (20 min)

Really which is more fun:

"Hey, have you had batch # 62 from Corner-of-the-basement-by-the-water-heater-brewery?"
or
"Hey nave you had The Mutts Nuts from Whack Job Brewing?"

We do it because it makes us smile (and probably to prove we're clever)

So I'm gonna give Mr. Happy a scratch, fire up the Orange Blossom Special, roll home to the Hangin' Ten Ranch, pop a pint of Bifurcated Brethren and see if I can get a little One-on-Two time with hooter and scooter.
ROFL!! Just about died laughing in the middle of my office.

Dont tell the office though.....I was never here >>insert ::shifty eyes::<<

Wow.. I'm surprised you even asked this. I guess my shock mostly comes from the revelation that you are not so caught up in this hobby that you would embrace to the fullest extent the creative aspect of being able to name your brewery and come up with clever little beer titles and the like. I think it's one of the coolest aspects of the hobby, let alone the authentication it lends to your finished product, if only for selfish reasons.
