Default Why the names?

OK, so I get the people who are striving to make a business (brew pub, etc) out of it, but why do people who just brew for fun need a name? I think some of the labels are cute, but beer company names?

I just want to figure out the reasoning behind this.

Why not? We don't HAVE to, but we choose to. It's part of the fun my friend.

if you've gotta ask, then you're not nearly obsessed enough.
