Saison Bâtard label

Here it is; my roommate and I just threw it together in GIMP with the emblem discussed elsewhere. It's a blatant rip-off of the Westmalle label aesthetic. Suggestions?

One further revision - it's small, but I think it's better. Fixed the accent, and lowered the "Greenwall".

I like the direction, but would like to see the emblem enlarged a bit, maybe 20-30% bigger. I don't think it will take away from the simplicity but will ensure crisper lines in the emblem when printed on label paper. Looks great though.

Oh man - my roommate and I got too excited by the prospect of labelling and went ahead and ran off a couple dozen like this, before we saw your advice. Gearbeer- tried, but it wasn't looking even. I'll try again from the large-size emblem pic. Might not stick with it though.
Febtober - good advice, I'll try it with the above suggestion and see if it improves.
Here's a pic of the first run of labels. We still have to label the second half of the batch (half that I tried to Brett) for which I might make a neck-label designating it 'Special Reserve' or some such subtitle to distinguish it from the 'clean' half.
I'll incorporate your suggestions and post back. Even if they don't make it onto this batch, I plan on using this as a label template for any other Belgian-style beers I make, varying the text (obviously) and colour scheme.

magnifico! In the future you may want to consider starting with colored paper so you save a bit of ink. Of course, then you'd have to experiment to get that green to come out right, and the white would then be blue, too...meh, nevermind, that probably wouldn't work too well. Stick with what you've got there!

Mine come mainly from Duvel, although I have a couple from Piraat, Gulden Draak, etc, but our goddamned socialised liquor stores don't carry much by way of Belgians. Even the Duvels are a gradual accrual, because at near $3 a pop I don't get them much.
