After seeing Yuri's ginger beer thread, I decided I'm going to brew up some of this for a crab feast a friend is throwing this summer. The label is still a rough draft, but I like the name and concept (I am a brunette, after all... although anything defaming a redhead on this board might spark mutiny from Red's fans...) ;)

Any suggestions for improvement? The brewery name and logo are new ones I am trying out (changed from Little Bear Brewing). Thanks!

Here's another version going with BierMuncher's suggestion. I am thinking of throwing some palm fronds around Mary Ann's frame, instead of having the turquoise circle.

I like your second version MUCH better. The background on the first one was too distracting, but the second one is just right.

Although the palm fronds could work well, you also run the risk of having a label thats too busy, with the different fonts, 2 images, and a logo. Definitely give it a shot and post it here though!

Looks goooood!

Maybe the letters of "ginger-flavoured beer" could be emphasized a little for readability's sake. Perhaps give them a subtle outline. Otherwise it looks great.

Wrathbone - Thanks! I had the same thought, that the background was going to be too much (not to mention what it would have cost in ink!). And yeah, you're probably right about the palm fronds - I think I may leave those off.

Nerro - Thanks for pointing that out! I definitely want that part to be readily visible, otherwise the label makes no sense!

Thanks for the great advice, guys! :mug:
