First labels for beer and cider
|
|
So I made the labels for my first 2 brews. One is a cream stout, and the other was still cider.
The name behind the cider comes from last Saturday, when I was preparing to bottle my cider. I went upstairs to get my primary full of Belgian Trippel so I could move it over to the secondary, which was occupied by the cider. As I came down the stairs, I slipped and tumbled feet first down the half-flight.
I am very proud to say I held tight to my primary, and my first thought was "Save the beer!"
I picked myself up from the floor, gently set down the trippel, and proceeded to bottle my Slippery Stairs Cider.
*The labels look a little blurry due to the JPG format I saved them in; they actually look a bit nicer on the bottle itself.

YUCK! is the first thing that comes to mind. I really like the Lindeman's lambics, so the Sam Adams tastes rather gross to me. It tastes kind of like beer that they tried to add cranberry flavor to and make it sour. Not my favorite of the pack, that's for sure. What did you think?

It was truly bad. You are the second person who has confirmed that for me. which makes me feel better about my beer palate.
I've never had any other Lambic, and I am interested in trying those just to see what the difference is. I've heard that they are slightly sour and fruity, but is that accurate?

That is very accurate - my favorite is the raspberry (framboise). It is definitely a sweeter beer, but the sweetness is offset by the tartness. I think they are really good - you should definitely try one.
