Did you all have a name for your "brewery" after one batch?
|
|
I'm thinking I want a name already.
I want to go with "Subterranean Homesick Brew"
What do you think? Too long? I think it is fantastic.

If you like it, that's what matters! I'm sure that it has meaning for you, and that's the important thing.
I had a name right away- I broke my leg playing hockey (actually my teammate did it to me) and she makes wine. Since she is the one who ruined my life for a year, I asked her how to make wine. I had to have hobbies that didn't require much walking that I could do from my wheelchair. I started making wine and quickly realized that it takes FOREVER- so I started making beer. Hence, Broken Leg Cellars changed to Broken Leg Brewery. Fortunately, the leg is now about 85% better but the name stuck.

Good to hear the leg is getting better!
I'm a huge music fan and I was thinking about what I could call myself and I was thinking about going with something from the Ramones, but then I was listening to Bob Dylan and it just kind of hit me as a fantastic name. I love the song, so I think I like it.
It is that or Rockaway Brew.

Yeah, there's some HBT member who has a website called "Tangled Up In Brew". Can't remember who, though, but I remember clicking on a link.

Took me over a year to come up with mine. No need to take that long though. You can always change it later. It's not like you will spend a couple of million for name recognition and be stuck with it forever.

Came up with one, dropped it. Came up with another, dropped it. Now I'm using and think I'll stick with "Fish + Bird Brewing" (lots of layers to it for me personally).
