As I get more into brewing, I'd like to come up with science or chemistry related name. I'm a chemist, so it would only be fitting in a dorky sort of way. I've already thought of some good names for beers such as Legendre (after Legendre polynomials), ultraviolet catastrophe (the ultraviolet catastrophe as predicted by the Rayleigh-Jeans law... a y2k ale), and of course Beer's Law (and/or Lambert's Lament... Beer's Law was introduced by Beer and Lambert, but textbooks only include Beer... perhaps big beer, little beer?). And in line with my dream of starting a science-theme bar someday...
In the meantime, I'm calling it the West Washington Brewery... after my street name.

Mine is Jaded Dog Brewing Co. My wife nicknamed me Dog (don't ask me why as I have no idea, it freaks people out when she says it though) and I'm kind of a jaded person and the two seem to go together. I have pretty limited graphic art skills on the computer so no logo yet.

Mine is Legin's Brewery. Taken from my christian name spelt backwards. (No my name isnt Yrewerb!)
Was thinking of taking our family coat of arms and tailoring that for a logo - but for now batch #, and date is all that is critical!

Skibbereen Brewery. It is the town in West Cork, Ireland that my family is from. The logo is central on my labels, and before you ask, YES I do know that Massachusetts is spelled wrong on my labels. It has become an inside joke w/ my friends, as my Adobe was flaking out when making them, so I had a buddy bend the text on his and send me the layer. Did I mention that my buddy can't spell worth sh!t? I have been too lazy to fix it. Maybe this will motivate me.

My brother and I brew together and we call our beer Grit Hops. This is because he has a hip-hop group, and they call their style of music grit-hop. So they can make some grit-hop music and drink some fo the same beer. If anyone cares they can check the music out at www.grithop.com

after much thought i think we finally decided on a name for our endeavour into homebrewing...
Shade Tree Brewing ...
we figure we are kinda like the Shade Tree Mechanics.. we do a little of this and a little of that..and sometimes we do it right
plus the family crest was a tree and i kinda liked that for a background.. the irish look of it was very cool...so i wanted something to go along with it..

My grandmother died, and left me some money. That money was used to get me started in brewing. So in tribute, I used a nickname my dad and uncles had for her, and came up with...
Buzzard Bait Brewery
