Default Baby Birthday Brew & Chilling

Here are the labels for my two year old-to-be baby girl (if i can call her a baby anymore ) I wanted to add small detail to the label and did so by outlining the wheat in blue to indicate "clove" flavor and leaving it gold for the "banana" flavor. This is because i fermented one at room temp and the other at 62 F. My question is would it be tooooo cold to put a slab of dry ice on the bottom of a large rectangular cooler, then cover it with a sheet of cardboard with the bottles on top? i don't want the labels to get wet or ruined because I'm sure people will want to take home the bottle. What y'all think?

I would think that would freeze the beers. Have fun cutting those suckers out, i try and use an oval or square for the overall label to make cutting easier. If you send me the picture i can put it into my traditional format i used in my thread. it will take 3 minutes.

if you printed them on laser can they be put into an ice chest? or will they run regardless?

they are printed with inkjet. I plan to put a tiny amount of dry ice beneath the cardboard buffer to give them a "dry" cool instead of throwing them into a water + ice slosh.

I've used dry ice in coolers before. I had 5lbs of dry ice in a medium size cooler with about 20 beers in it. They were in the cooler for 10 hours and I was kind of afraid they would freeze and burst open. When I returned to the cooler 10 hours later they were perfectly cold and a party was had by all.

I did wrap the dry ice in a paper grocery bag to insulate it but that was all. I don't think you'll have a problem using dry ice at all.

Thanks Wheat King. It also gives SWMBO the fun of designing the label and such.
