I usually put on the Band of Brothers miniseries or some other long movie.

It's usually Clutch, Then some old school Ralph Stanley for a good bit, and during cleanup I usually listen to something like Meshuggah or something else in that genre that catches the mood.

I've been doing a lot of Pearl Jam, Everclear and Alice in Chains on brew day...What can I say...I'm a child of the nineties. Of course, I also like to throw on some Blind Pilot to help make me feel mellow and focused. Oh, and Irish folk if I'm brewing up a stout! Based on the replies, it looks like a lot of variety out there...pretty cool!

I typically do the same. Sometimes though, I'll just set up a playlist of Social Distortion, Ramones and the Clash.

I have gotten lazy with playlists since xm radio through directv came out. I usually go for the alternative channel or hard rock

Everything from Steely Dan, Talking Heads, RATM, Dave Matthews Band, Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show, CCR, my own tech-house mixes...I could go on.
