Default Wear your seatbelts

Just got a call a few hours ago, turns out another high school friend has passed away due to an auto accident. I have lost 4 friends in the last 5 years due to auto accidents three now may have been prevented with use of a seatbelt. Im just gonna sit back and drink some HB and try and relax. RIP Blake. People always wonder why I get upset about driving with out a seatbelt. Sad part is this is less than 50 miles from where I lost my good friend and his dad two years ago.

This is a far cry from a drunken, mindless rambling. I'm sorry to hear about your friend.

I'm terribly sorry to hear about your loss. It's heartbreaking to hear about the loss of a young life when it could have been prevented with a simple click of a seat belt. You may be saving the life of one of those people who wonder why you react so please continue to react. Take care!

I feel ya man....lost a friend in a car accident. She was crushed the seat belt wouldn't have mattered for her but my girl friend was in the car and the seat belt saved her from being ejected out the door. My brother was in an accident a year ago and luckily his face hit the dash which kept him from being ejected out of the car. He was originally in the back but the passenger was ejected out her door seat and all. If he had his seat belt on he wouldn't have broken his jaw, his teeth, his nose nor broke his arm clean in half. But anyways keep wearing your seat belt and don't drive drunk!

Thanks guys. I had a big talk with my roommate about wearing his seatbelt tonight (he never does) about the Results of not wearing one. I really hope he will start doing it!! He has been my best friend since 4th grade and im not sure what I would do if this happened to him!! As far as drinking and driving goes one of my good friends is now in a wheel chair because of that not driving but because of riding with a drunk driver. I have lost way to many friends these last few years.

In 1962, when the vehicles were only required to provide attachments for the the driver's seatbelt, my dad outfitted our van with belts in all eight positions. Got blow off the road by a semi in New Mexico, the van was a total loss, but the only injury was caused by a flying ice chest.

I am a believer.

Yup - anybody in my car clicks, or walks. No exceptions.
