Yeah, but at least they are honest.

I would not bother with them when comes to homebrew. Not unless I had one of my light beers on tap but I'd take any comments with a grain of salt

I just discovered this thread. Im only up to page 16, and couldn't take it any more. I'll post some of my jems whem im done reading. If you had any idea the concentration of BMC drinkers who surround me.... Oh. I live in a college town.

Here's the 1st that comes to mind.

Between my buddy Noah who grows my hops & bar patron in mountain backwater bar. Noah drinks ALOT of my beer. He has the right, its mostly his hops so I have a captive taste tester.

Noah-"Bartender, what kind of beer do you have?"
BarT-"BMC"
Noah-"You dont have at least any Sam Adams, or Yeungling in a bottle"
----------(Note: we live in PA Yeungling is in PA)----------
BarT-"We have Bud Select, and Michelob"
Noah-"Just give me whatevers on your 1 tap(Bud)"
----At this point he begins to talk to some locals about the hop farm, and all the beers I
----brew with them, and can be brewed with them. Mentioning SamAdams, Yeungling,
----Victory, Troeegs, mostly Pa brewerys.
Local-"We dont drink that kinda stuff round here. We like domestic beer.
Noah-"What could be more domestic than beer brewed in my buddies basement?
........Blank stare.......
Local-"we make moonshine round here, not fancy beer"
That reminds me of our local hot wings place in San Jose. Their beer sign has two categories... Domestic and Micro

I can't really be too hard on someone who says "hey, this actually tastes like beer" because when I tried my first bottle from my first batch I said "hey, this actually tastes like beer."

I gave a guy a wheat beer and he says:
"I don't like this. I like beers more like that new bud light wheat beer."
WTF?

Fortunately it was enjoyed by everyone else, except 1 woman who asked if I could make a Smirnof Ice

I brought a selection of homebrew bombers to my grandfather's house one holiday and came back another night and my uncle told me he drank them all and said they were weak! No appreciation, just free booze... I basically told him they were around 5% and thus stronger than BMC, then tried to ignore him because I was insulted, but he kept talking to me about the topic... I realized it was inebriated nagging and I just wanted him to STFU...

Obviously I didn't bring any more homebrew there and he'll never get any. I'm pretty sure he "wasn't supposed to be drinking".

Well it isn't here in MS, so I really don't think that's a stupid comment.
