No hockey is a drag.

Watching baseball just ain't cuttin' it.

Guess I'll read a book...

NO doubt, but at least I have more time to brew and spend time with the family.

Here's a good book:

The Code: The Unwritten Rules Of Fighting And Retaliation In The NHL

I really enjoyed it. I think I'll have to re-read it soon.

Thanks yt, I check it out next season.

Reading a book on hockey right now would makes matters worse...

Lombardi and Lord Stanley in the same year. We are again the City of Champions. I was on the edge of my seat for the entire Penguins-Redwings series and I couldn't breath during the last minute of play in game 7. All I can say is that I was watching it at a friends house and was the guy that could not sit down and was wasted on homebrew shouting anything that popped in his head. It was fun and I enjoyed the hell out of it.

Everyone likes to throw the Hossa issue around because it's a personal thing and helps to demonize the other team. I don't blame the guy for going to a team that he thought he would win with but it was the way he jerked around Ray Shero and was given what he asked for and then decided to drop out. It lead to us having to let go other free agents because of the deal we made him. Karma will get you eventually. At least he's not in it for the money.

You can have Conklin back. Detroit opted not to offer him a contract this year.
