Default Recommend "New" Bands

I can't find any newer artists I like, all sounds like garbage, over produced crap. Recommendations? Someone gave me an Arcade Fire CD (Neon Bible), not too bad, kind of a Joy Division/Bruce Springsteen mix. Looking for some new tunes.

Your 10000th post and we get this?!?!

If you like Joy Division, check out bands like Interpol (new album is great) and the Editors.

I always have such a hard suggesting music to people. Everybody has such different tastes. But one band that I have always loved is Social Distortion.

I've seen countless Revho shows in Austin. Met him a few times as well at his shows. Very cool artist! Well I was working on my farm about 1982 ....

I heard an interesting band on a Conan replay last night--called Deerhoof.

The music was really catchy and very odd. I really liked it though.

You can download some sampler mp3s here. Give them a shot. I think I'm going to buy the new disc.

I'm actually listening to deerhoof right now. It's quirky, but it rocks hard and is wicked catchy.
