And even still, mods here have on occasion actually talked about things like the time and the standard required of them. So I can certainly understand that one can't hold every perceived "failure" against them. I also know that being a good mod requires a certain standard of behavior that can often dramatically affect one's enjoyment of the site.

Having said that, while I personally wouldn't really mind being a mod (though I don't honestly expect that to happen anytime soon!), I imagine the vast majority of people might say the same, but I really think most people would reconsider once they fully realize what that responsibility entails, both in terms of the time and behavior required. The experience can be drastically different and most would likely find that it's no longer something they want to spend time doing. To relate it to something that at least AbG can understand, it's like going to an outdoor concert as an actual concert-goer as opposed to an officer working security. A good time can still be had, but you can't exactly just be yourself all the time, and sometimes you downright end up looking like the bad guy, despite being committed to doing the right thing. And I think, even moreso than most sites, that most of the mods here do a damn good job of it.

You said it better than me Emjay. Very well Wish you would have quoted my whole post though even if I ramble a bit. I've picked words the same to get a thought across to what I was replying to with not a lot of other stuff in it. I guess you just did the same. It's just that part that you quoted me makes me feel like I said something wrong.

Hey! Not worries. I'm rambling as usual.

On a side note. There is a new guy on the Riddle thread. He aint bad. Glad you and LRB are still keeping that thread alive! I haven't supported much lately.

Yep, that was exactly what I was doing. My apologies if you felt it poorly characterized your post... that wasn't my intention, and I definitely didn't think you said anything wrong.

Lift a brew for me! I want one right now bad. We were just talking to two cute girls in a Spanish restaurant about their margaritas. Man I love tequila!

Yo Airborne! Gotta be something to bring some pizazz to your night!

Going to post a song and then need to get some sleep. This is not as exciting as two cute girls. Guess I'm finally going to get some sleep here is the song.

Indeed. Especially when you can manage to be lucid .

You just have to REALLY make sure it's not actually real life though!!!

Man I have been lagging as of late. Not been drinking much and feeling rather poorly. Not to mention up until tonight the forum has just been crawling for me

I love fried cabbage with bacon in it. Drizzle a little vinegar over it and wow it is good. Put some pulled pork over a rye bread and cover with fried cabbage and you got a meal fit for a king.....Although the king gets kicked to the couch after eating it

Sigh kids. My kid needs to write a report for school on someone who has taken risks for a english class. All she has wanted to do was write the dumb report on a silly rock group that has not been around very long but she likes.

Now my dad was on the first sub to go around the world submerged. I think it was called the triton but I am not sure. There is a wonderful write up in Nat Geo from the early sixties about that trip. Was this good enough for her....No not exciting enough for nor was Neil Armstrong or any of the other people I could think of.

No wonder our world is going to heck in a handbasket
