A long story short; I was working in San Diego for 4 months for work staying less than a 10 min drive from the Stone brewery (the hotel would actually drive me ) I then went home to IL where Stone is not sold and tried recovering from withdrawal for 2 months.
Fast forward to this week; I'm down in Dallas for work and after a 13hr day in the office I find a liquor store that sell AB...I buy 3 bottles...I'm 1.5 bottles in and this beer is as good as I remember
That rocks! I prefer the Ruination, but I guess I live a life of excesses. I'm lucky too, there's a vegetable/beer store withing walking distance of my campus that stocks about half their line.
I bought a few and checked my bag (for the first time in 40 some flights). I wish I bought some when I was at their brewery I can only hope to go back to SD some time soon.
