Default Drunk encrypting 3 TB drive to store um files ..

Man encryupting 3TB drive using truecrypt to store certain, cough files, wow it says it's going to take 11 hours to format. Well I keep enjoying more homebrew ... now just 10 hours 50 minutes!

How many "files"? The whole 3TB??? That is quite a lot...and I thought my collection was large.

hehehe well, it's, you know, for future expansion. 3TB is the sweet spot in storage at the moment. He makes .iso images, those range about 1/2 GB a pop. He just wants to prevent the casual comerby from stumbling upon his HD's so is using the fastest encryption algo available, which truecrypt said was AES on his system.

It's a good idea to always encrypt thumb drives, I mean maybe you have your tax info, bank info, etc, on there, it's super easy to lose a thumb drive, and if you didn't encrypt it somehow, well guess what, anything you had on there is as good as public knowledge.

Hm, those were, well, interesting debates no doubt.

I really should encrypt my thumb drive. After all, I lost one this spring on my way up to Yoopers house. Luckily some guy near the bridge found it and after doing some investigating using the information on it, contacted me via facebook, so I got it back.

The most valuable thing on there was my beersmith recipes, which I had backed up.

Then again, if my thumb drive was encrypted, he could not have known where to get hold of me and return it to me.

Meh, it's a 4GB stick. Probably cost him more to mail it than it's worth.

And who needs 3TB of Pr0n?? It would take several lifetimes to view it all at 20 minutes each viewing...
