My wife constantly sends me links to and picture messages of what I affectionately refer to as Cat Porn. It's incredibly obnoxious, because I hate cats. They don't make me happy like they make her. Because I love the woman to death I at least pretend to be interested around 50% of the time. However, this one I got today was pretty freakin hilarious. I highly recommend a watch.

Cats are cool. Found a dead mouse in the living room last night. I tossed it to the nearest cat and it decided to eat "most" of it. My young one refused to pick up the cute little head it left on the floor. Apparently it hasn't reached the point where it can crunch up the skull or something.

We keep the cat's food in the bathroom and they ALWAYS wait for one of us to go in there before eating. Guaranteed if I sit down on the toilet, within seconds there will be a scratching at the door and I open it to let a cat come in to eat. Weird.

This! People love to lump you in one category or another, and everyone falls for it, feeling like they have to align with dogs or cats. Both are great for different reasons.

If I want a pet to go for a walk or wrestle with (without shredding my skin) I'll play with the dog. If I want an animal to pet in my lap (or for rodent control) I'll go for a cat.

And there's no reason to limit yourself to one or the other - cats and dogs can get along well together if they're raised right. I once saw my dog get in a fight with another dog - because she was protecting my cat.

I agree, you don't have to be one or the other. Cats are just so self serving. I don't like those qualities in humans, so they don't really appeal to me in animals either. Plus they're obnoxious. We gave one of them a can of wet food like a month ago, and it still remembers. It yowls every day until you spray it with the water bottle. 10 minutes later, back at it again.
