I read the warnings, that is sort of what prompted me to call him a mother****er. That and the splitting headache that lasted almost all day.

My SWMBO (a hearing specialist in the school district) promised a couple of the custodians in her school a few bottles of my homebrew for the holidays.

To her...all brown bottles look alike and she ended up giving each of them two random bottles from the fridge.

While we were out of town, I asked her which beers she had handed over. She described the cap label on them (they of course said "apfelwien"). I said a quick prayer.

Apparently the guys enjoyed their "apple beer" a lot...the night they drank them...back to back...

Apparently, they did not enjoy the next morning and have politely declined any more of my homebrew.

On an upside, I am a bit of a legend now. "Boy...if your husband can drink those and not pass out...he's more man than me...".

Ironic isn't it?

I took a bunch of Apfelwein with me to Michigan for Christmas.

It was fun watching my mom get bombed on them and then trying to candle her ears for the first time.

Good times.
