Default Can't resist head splitting, Ed Wort you are a mother****er!

I think we all know why... But I feel I must tell you that your apfelwine almost ruined my holidays.

Heh. I hit my apfelwine with K-metabisulfate and K-sorbate and mixed it half and half with fresh cider for my holiday guests. Simmered with a cinnamon stick, some nutmeg and a teaspoon of turbinado sugar per cup (8 tablespoons for a gallon and a half), it's just about the perfect holiday warmer . . . AND you don't have to worry about whether anybody will like it or not. It's hot cider. It tastes great. The fresh cider restores the apple body and tartness and a little of the sweetness. The spices and sugar take care of the rest. Yes, it drops from 8-9%ABV to about 4% but so what? I'm not out to get anybody looped before Christmas dinner -- that's for me when all the guests leave

I did reserve some of the apfelwine for longer aging, but the apfelwine/cider combo was a major hit at our holiday gathering.

Aspirin and water before bed, and all is well.

Of course, there IS a limit to what the body can take.

Sounds like someone didn't read the General Warnings.

GENERAL WARNINGS

Excessive consumption of Apfelwein WILL get you drunk at warp speed.

Drink a quart of water and take 3 aspirin before going to sleep tol help reduce the effects of excessive Apfelwein consumption as well as the urge to call EdWort a M'F**kR the next morning!

I saw on a tv show called Manswers that if you drink a glass of pear juice before getting lit, it dilates the blood vessels in your brain preventing the hangover headache.

I'm sure there are limits, but this has been working for me.

That's odd. It must be psychological or something then, cuz I've been doing the pear juice thing a while now.

Watch, I'll try it tonight and it won't work:drunk

Sorry if I mislead anybody
