Batman

So I was reading a discussion about george clooneys nipples that led to a discussion of who should be the next batman villain.
Two-face died and Joker will never act again, so I was checking out the list here:
List of Batman Family enemies - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Batman villains SUCK!
Man-bat would be my choice, but they can't pull that off with the new "realistic" Batman trend.
Catwoman has been done before (very well, I thought...and then halle barry destroyed her so...that's over) and I'm not a big fan of the Penguin.
Harley Quinn would be kind of bad-ass, but not without the Joker.
What does everyone else think? Yep, I'm bored.

I was wondering about this too just the other day . . . I really have no idea who it can/will be. especially with the 'realistic' turn the series took.
maybe two face isn't really dead????
maybe Harley Quinn could be introduced as a crazed fan of the Joker . . .
maybe the mad hatter but that might be a little too corny.

You know, the joker is out for a while, until someone can truly replace Heath Ledger's fantastic performance (whether you liked all the press or not he was way better than anyone else has ever portrayed the freakiness of Joker). Not being a comic book guy, I can't say much in the way of who, but is Two-Face dead as of the last movie? Seems to me that he just began. You have to remember that all of the new movies are before the original movies, so everyone is just getting started. Could be 10 years or one year, but it is before. So it depends on the quantity of pre-sequals

Yeah, but he was DEAD. It was pretty clear, and I don't think this new trend would lend itself to those old shams.
The Joker was perfect. He was magnificently portrayed as the maniacal, sadistic, vicious madman from the comics...put into a realistic light, of course. I don't think they can bring him back without Ledger.
Maybe Bane!? I almost forgot about Bane...

I could go with Bane. That is "believeable" in todays society. I think that DC will come up with a new and improved nemesis. Maybe take from Batman Beyond or the new ones that they have been doing where it is super future batman. Not that the new movies would be in the future, because movies always bastardize everything. Jurrasic Park is an amazing book and movie, though not similar in any ways other than the Dinosaurs.
Maybe Harley Quinn. Get a hot young female in the part and you have a blockbuster again!

The story is already there:
Bane (comics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bane breaks Batman's back and Azrael comes in to defend Gotham. He becomes increasingly violent and starts killing people until Wayne is healed and decides to return as Batman. Death, destruction, chaos, villainy, abashment, torment, suffering, betrayal, return, and recompense leaves you with a very tormented hero with new conviction.
We'd have to hear Bruce Wayne whine a little more, but I think I can handle that again.
Man...makes me want to read these comics again...I wonder if I can download them...
It definitely needs a girl, too. Catwoman is out, and we can't have Harley Quinn without Joker...although they could make that VERY hot and creepy at the same time...maybe she's after him for revenge...trying to unlock the Joker or something. Meh...there needs to be a love in this story.
Ya know, come to think of it...R'as al Ghul could still be alive...you never actually see him die. Holy crap...I didn't remember her at all:
Talia al Ghul - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
R'as is still alive.

But remember, the Joker isn't dead as a character, only Heath Ledger. So Harley Quinn could "contact" the joker offscreen throughout the movie and could be HOT. Bane might be the way to go.

I don't think that would work as well, she's not a love interest...I'd like to see some crazy chick run around in tights trying to get the Joker out of jail, tho. Creepy and hot.

The Joker could operate as a hidden character operating out of Arkham Asylum.
Before his capture, he may have influenced several psychopaths and put them and some evil plan in motion.
If they burn out and fail --- chaos.
If they grasp the flame and succeed in their plans --- chaos.
Multiple mini-villains to torment the Dark Knight.
oh.
let's not forget Frank Miller's take in this.
If things get too bad storywise, Metropolis isn't that far away.
