Default Winner #2 - Theo1069

Here is our prototype of Theo1069's idea for a tap handle with interchangeable names. We're still working on this, but so far, we like the direction its going.

It uses half-dollar sized air-tite coin holders with high power magnets in them. In the tap handle, there is another magnet. Why magnets in both and not just a steel washer in the holder? Because you can stick the unused name holders on any steel surface for safe keeping.

The holders are air/water tight so if you drop them in the beer tray, no worries! With a little care, you can reopen them to put in new labels.

I included two backdrops in case one shows better detail than the other.

PM us your address Theo, so when we get out of the prototype stage, we can send you your handle.

Also suggestions are appreciated...we want these to be awesome.

Thanks!

John

How much do you anticipate these will cost?

emjay,

These will be $66 if our final model is much like this, which is what I expect. They'll each come with 5 label holders/magnets. They'll be available in oak and maple (walnut $10 extra), your choice of brass or chrome plate ferrule.

These look awesome! Great idea on the coin holder. I'm stoaked!

My only suggestion would be to allow folks to order their "brewery name" engraved instead of the top coin holder. It may give it more of a custom look.

Either way it looks great! Sending PM now.

We're pretty happy with this design. I'm currently working on some custom fixturing to help keep the price reasonable. I was hoping I'd see a little more feedback. I really like the idea of putting good strong magnets in both the handle and the insert. It holds the inserts in place really well, they don't spin during use, and the unused inserts can be stored like fridge magnets.

These could be customized of course, but that would make them a bit more expensive. No worries though, still guaranteed.
