That's odd. Well the good news is that the fix is cheap, although I would highly suggest Williams to realize the issue and standardize on a size.

Not what I wanted to deal with after a long brew day. I just picked up some vinyl tubing at the big orange store though. The 3/16" ID tubing I found seemed to fit on there very well, but I ended up going with the .170" ID (just under 3/16") tubing since it provided an easy, but more snug fit and was cheaper since it came in a 10' length. Really the few dollar price difference was the decision maker since I think both would have worked just fine. Just an FYI for those struggling with the same.
I got mine a couple weeks ago but haven't brewed since then so it's still in the box. I better take a look at it tonight and see if I can put it together!

Are the O2 bottles still easy to find?

I haven't bought any in about 1 year but I haven't heard of them changing the bottles or anything. As far as I know you can still purchase them at hardware stores easily.

Yep - you should be able to find these at Lowes or HD in the welding / brazing section.

I just used mine for the first time today. No problems here in installing (I mean it was tight, but it wasn't too hard to make it work).

I noticed that in their packaging they suggest sticking the wand end of the tubing onto the regulator end for a few minutes. I guess the regulator barb is wider than the tubing, but smaller than the wand, so this gets you partway there. As I said, I didn't have an issue.

Blowing a hair dryer over the end of the hose to soften it is another way to fix that issue.

Unfortunately, I'm not looking to add a hairdryer as part of my brew day gadgetry. They should just provide the right tubing.

I got the Williams Aeration Wand system last week, and tested it out in some water and glass carboy. Has anyone noticed a small ring of rust where the wand meets the stone? I was going to use it in my latest batch, but then got complacent. I wouldn't think you can sterilize rust? Anyone else notice this? I'd post a picture, but i'm out of town. It's really not all that much.

No rust on mine. Maybe is welding residue. A rough side of a sponge should take care of it. Happened to a kettle that i bought with the added couplings. Kettle was not.from.this.vender (fyi)
