I looked at the site and it wasn't clear to me. Does the price include shipping or is shipping added when you checkout?

It doesnt include shipping. It is added when checking out!
Priority mail to me was $6.25

We believe in low prices & honest shipping rates vs. jacked-up product costs to cover (so-called) "free", "Supper-Saver" or "flat-rate" shipping....which really aren't "free"...

For live yeast, choose either UPS 2-day or USPS Priority or Express shipping.
W.L. reccomends 1 to 2 cold packs for 1-5 vials in a Small Flat Rate USPS box or small UPS box.
