I just fitted my new keggle with a ball valve, sightglass, thermometer, and dip tube that I purchased from Bargain Fittings. I am very pleased with everything.

Default looking for a fitting

Thought I would give this a try here.

I am looking for a 1/2" male coupling or nipple (1/2" male threads both sides) that has 3/8" threads on the inside of one the ends.

I want to be able to thread this into a 1/2" female coupling that cam on my Plastic Mini brew HLT that I use. i want to be able to make a hrad connection with my HERMS coil inside the tank through these couplings and need threads to go both ways.

Thanks

Bill

That fitting does not exist. The ID of a 1/2 nipple is too close to the OD of the threads on the 3/8"

I can get you a reducing coupling to attach inside the vessel. Do you have room for that inside?

You can get 3/8" by 1/2" bushing, which interior and exterior threads going in the same direction, so going opposite, like you say it would be tight.

I do have a fitting that came with a flex gas line that has the threads I need, but it is steel and it has a flare fitting on the end that i need a male pipe thread.

I did a fitting in McMaster - Carr (Item no. 5485K33) in brass that looks like it has threads on the inside, but can't tell which direction.

I really wanted something in stainless and that's why I thought of you.
