I just converted 3 firestone type and 1 cornelius type kegs from pin locks to ball locks. I want to use the old pin lock posts to make carbonation caps. So I am looking for a stainless steel male end that I can use to screw into the posts that will provide a backing on the other side of the soda cap.
Will this part work or is there another one that you can recommend? Also, since the two types of kegs (firestone and cornelius) have two different sizes of posts, what is the proper size to order?

EDIT: IT looks like this one might be best/cheapest?

Thanks!

Sorry but I'm not too sure what you're trying to do. Can you send me a drawing or picture to gostainless@stainlessbrewing.com to give me a better idea?

I recently started fermenting in ball lock corney kegs. The one thing I would like is a thermowell that will allow me to read the wort temp. Right now, I just tape it to the side of the keg and put some styrene over it as an insulator. Would you be able to take a corney lid, drill a hole in it and weld a 16" x .375"ID thermowell somewhere near the center of the lid? I'd like to keep the existing relief valve on the lid so I can ferment under pressure if I want.
