Just a few thoughts on the stacking issue: You probably can stack a small handle one on top of a tall handle keg? That would stack 2 kegs and have less total height.

I have 2 of the stackable ones and to me it was more of a pain because I had trouble finding a cooler tall enough to fit them... The huge handles always got in the way of the lid. Finally found one but it was more expensive than I would have liked..

I've sent mine back, but the two that do let me stack with the disconnects on measure:

13.75" to the top of the disconnect
14.5" to the top of the handle

Though I didn't measure the new kegs, I'm guessing those kegs were about an inch shorter in height as the handles were about even with the disconnects. Hope this helps.

@OldAleJay - As far as stackable goes, I figure I can eventually order one that stacks correctly and use this one on top. Is there a reason that wouldn't work?... different base too? Is it a shorter height since it doesn't stack? Thanks

I just ordered 3. I don't REALLY need them to stack. But I'm betting that I can rig something up with a 2x4. I'll keep you posted.

@Ja09
You are correct- these will be fine as the top keg.

Mine arrived to day. They look great and unless stacking is a must have I think this is a great value.

Here are a few pics comparing the AIH keg to my Williams 2.5 keg. The design of the AIH keg is better. Neither is stackable, however the Williams dip tube was about 2" too short and pointed to the center of the keg (fixed with hose).

I will figure out how to make this stackable and post pics once I have.

[Never mind on the pics... can't post pics with my membership level. They look snazzy...]
